We are currently working on the palace stables. A very curious construction. It is a timberframed building with diagonal rafters nailed on the inside and outside. The space inbetween is filled with a very fibre rich clay mortar that also covers the outside. this is in turn plastered with lime.

Here you also see a modern repair with wood-cement board.

Scaffolding is gone now so I could get a better picture of the barn. Now we work on the palace stables.

Studies are over and we started several different projects on the royal castle of Rosersbergs. First one is on a barn. Next week we move to the actual castle.

Revisited Stora Katrinebergs gård that we restored a year and a half ago. First time I saw it without scaffolding. Unfortunately I spent all the time on the phone with police as someone had just smashed a window and broken in.

This fall I made a repair on this beautiful house in the park of Rosersberg castle.
While replastering it they found some ants and eaten timber. Once I started looking into it I soon discovered that the ants nest was a lot bigger than it seemed in the first place. The outer wall was ok but the inner wall I could put my whole crowbar inside.

The wallpaper in one of the rooms was recreated after an old original, so it would have been very expensive to print a new one. I therefore worked from the other room, being very careful not to damage the few millimeters of plaster that the wallpaper was on. Very tricky to put the chainsaw at the exact right depth when cutting the logs. No damage was done to the expensive wallpaper

Here you can see it in 3d: https://skfb.ly/6N9uE

There were some leftovers of the wallpaper for the room I destroyed, and it was just enough to repair that part. So both on the inside and on the outside there are no traces of my work left. The only way to watch it now is in my 3d models.

I inspected a cottage a while ago and decided to do some extra work, free of charge, to see how much time I needed and to work out a good workflow. I began by photographing the place and made a photogrammetric 3d-model. I then modelled the planned extension based on the architects sketches and put them with the scanned mesh and made some quick renders.

The goal is to be able to do this as effective as possible so it will be available to projects with a low budget and not just big ones.
